Before they built this chapel, the Primitive Methodists here worshipped in a cottage. This chapel, built of stone with brick window and door dressings, is situated in a remote location. The chapel, 21 ft x 15 ft, was erected in 1869, the four cornerstones being laid on the 23rd September of that year. The building was registered as a place of religious worship on 6th June 1870. The chapel closed in the second half of the 1950s. and was de-registered as a place of religious worship on 23rd February 1965. In 2003 it was used for storage, but by 2017 had been converted to residential use.
