[former] Broseley Congregational Chapel Congregationalists arrived in the parish in 1837 and by 1840 had bought the former Friends Meeting House and some adjoining land on which they built a chapel at a cost of £700. The foundation stone of this new chapel was laid on the 25th August 1840 and the chapel was opened on Tuesday 20 April 1841. The old meeting house became a schoolroom. In the 1851 Religious Census, there was reported to be seating for just over 300 worshippers. There were 92 worshippers at their morning service and 120 at their evening one, together with between 50 & 72 Sunday scholars. The chapel was licensed for marriages on 19th August 1899. The chapel closed in 1965 and was de-registered as a place of worship on 28th December 1972. By 1978 it had been demolished. The ticket office & reception of the present Pipeworks Museum are reputed to have been part of the chapel premesis. There is still a small graveyard adjoining the site. Grid ref: SJ 671022
